The river Winterbourne flows in its shallow bed through the grounds to the east of the house, while the south face overlooks the terrace and swimming pool. The view from the south facing rooms is a carefully maintained lawn sweeping down from the top of the valley ridge. The north facing rooms look out over the main courtyard and offer beautiful views of the village church.
